Lisa Whelchel is holding on strong on Survivor: Philipines. In fact, she’s rumored to make it pretty far into the competition. But, she now has a new battle to fight: West Nile virus.

The Facts of Life actress turned reality star Tweeted today: “Dr. just called with blood test results … I have West Nile. Ugh!” The 49-year-old added “I’m fine, just tired. Takes a year to recover. :(”

West Nile disease is spread by mosquitos. Once you have it, you can suffer from fatigue, headaches and body aches. Definitely not fun but definitely not lethal. Sounds like a pain the butt though.

“I’ve been very touched by all the sweet tweets. Other than tired, I’m feeling fine & expecting a full recovery,” Welchel explained. “So grateful for you. Thanks!”
