Alana Honey Boo Boo Thompson has a new pet chicken named Nugget.

Why is this news? I don’t know, it just seems to be. So, I’ll tell you more about it. Oh the joys of being a blogger 😉

The reality star’s mother June Shannon introduced the new family addition on her Facebook page.

“Meet Alanas new pet NUGGET,” June wrote on Facebook today, adding “her and nugget have became very attached this weekend…”

Shannon explains that although the bird “has a outside house…alana refuses to let her sleep outside.” So, Nugget “sleeps inside at night in her inside cage.”

Now, Honey Boo Boo is not the only celebrity who owns a pet chicken. CelebMagnet reported in June that Tori Spelling not only owns a pet chicken named Coco but she also likes to knit her ponchos to wear when out and about.
