This was one of those moments that I wish I were there! Yesterday, 80s icon Rick Springfield played not one, but two impromptu concerts…in the NY City underground subway tunnels!

Talk about cool!

We don’t know why Springfield was serenading the rush-hour NY City commuters – but we’re happy that he did! Perhaps he was promoting his new album (Songs for the End of the World) or perhaps he wanted to feel better after his interview with Dr. Oz aired the same day (in which Springfield opens up about his battle with depression, suicide attempt and addictions). No matter what, the singer made famous by General Hospital took it upon himself to cheer a bustling rush hour commuter crowd by busting out Jessie’s Girl.
