Earlier this week, a video was released (watch below) which showed homeless people in LA wishing Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel congratulations on their wedding.

Today, Justin has issued an apology for the video in an open letter on his website. After  advocates for the homeless and even fans of JT and JT (Jessica is changing her last name to Timberlake y’all) voiced their dislike for the video because it appears to mock the homeless, JTapologized to “clear the air.”

JT calls the video a “lapse in judgment” by his friends who are good people and says the video was not screened at his wedding unlike what some have assumed. He also insists that he had nothing to do with the video’s creation. JT says “I am deeply sorry to anyone who was offended by [it].” JT added, “I think we can all agree that it was distasteful…I was always taught that we as people, no matter what your race, sex, or stature may be, are equal.”
