The Amazing Race airs a new episode tonight October 21, 2012. The 8 remaining teams continue their race on an episode called “Funky, Monkey”.

LIVE SHOW RECAP:
We start this fourth leg of the race in Indonesia. Abbie & Ryan are the first team to depart, heading for Bangladesh.
Everyone gets on the same flight – so much for a head start on this leg. Once they land, they head to a Road Block where teams have to repair a bus: They must fill the body with putty, sand it, then remove three seats and bring them to the refurbish area to receive their next clue.
James & Abba do the Fast Forward and have to become rat catching assistants.
Abbie & Ryan are the first team to finish the Road Block and head out to Kawan Bazaar to find a shop with a smelly bag of dried fish. Once there, they have to dig for a colored one and then receive their next clue. Abbie & Ryan finish this task quickly and get their next clue which is a Detour. They have to chose from “Pound The Metal” where they have to make a blacksmith tool or “Pound The Cotton” where they have to make a cotton mattress.
Gary & Will are in last place after the Road Block. Natalie & Nadiya are at the Blacksmith shop and think they are in first place, but Rob & Kelley are just a few steps behind. Meanwhile, James & Abba collect their rats and are on their way to the Pit Stop.

Rob & Kelly are team number four to arrive but i turns out that they took the wrong riverboat and have to go back and re-do the route and come back again for check in.

This was a probably the best episode of the season so far. The challenges were actually challenging this week and they helped out the local community, which is the trademark of a real TAR challenge. I thought that James and Abba could be contenders after the scored the first flight into Indonesia a couple of weeks ago, and I am glad to see them taking home a first place finish. I missed the show because I was working late at DISH last night, but thankfully my Hopper recorded it for Primetime Anytime. I love how I don’t have to worry about setting timers and I can still keep up with everything on TAR. I was glad that I caught it because I think that we saw the beginning of some inter team drama between the Twins and Abbie and Ryan. I can’t wait to see where that goes!
