Twilight fan dies at Comic-Con

The hottest ticket at Comic-Con 2012 has already made the news and Comic-Con has yet to even start. Yesterday, a 53-year-old die-hard fan of the Twilight series was killed when she was struck by a vehicle as she ran across the street to save her place in line for a Twilight panel which will present actors from Breaking Dawn Part 2. The panel is set to take place tomorrow in the afternoon.

Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate released a joint statement today:

“Lionsgate, Summit and the entire Twilight community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan today due to a traffic accident leading up to this year’s convention in San Diego. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends.”

The statement continued, “She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H.”

The large Twilight fan community also sent a plethora of condolences which lead to “RIPTwiFanG” trending worldwide on Twitter.
