Russell Brand Says The Queen Will Fart During Summer Olympics

We can always count on Russell Brand to give us a gem of a quote when we need a pick me upper–and since he is British–we can more easily accept his knocking down of English-sponsored celebrations.

So, here we go.
Brand admitted to Conan O’Brien that he isn’t feeling too optimistic about his fellow Brit’s abilities to host the summer Olympics in London this year. In fact, he is downright pessimistic about it.

“China did such a great job. We are too clumsy, we are too self-effacing as you know with the English the politeness masks deep sexual deviance. I think we are under a lot of pressure, because China were clearly able to demonstrate the opening ceremony that ‘we can make all these people do the exact same thing at once – don’t you dare get in a war with us.’

Brand added injury to insult: “I like England and I am from there. But when it involves organization it is going to be a right balls up. Things will catch fire and people will be tripping over things, then it start raining and the Queen will do a fart.”

Russell must not have watched the Royal Weddings and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations because those went off pretty much without anyone catching on fire or the Queen letting out a fart–well, as far as we could tell on our TVs.

Brand continued his rant though: “It is hypocritical, isn’t it? We will rise up. I say it is time for a bloody revolution. Some people are into it and it only takes one to chop off someone’s head. People need to have things to celebrate otherwise people realize we are oppressed and unable to express ourselves freely because we are at the behest of all these corporate entities. So yeah they have a party to distract us from the fact we are being tyrannized.”
