Jessica Simpson is a new mom! She and fiance Eric Johnson welcomed Maxwell Drew Johnson into the world this morning, weighing in at 9 lbs., 13 oz. (!)

We hear Maxwell is named for Eric’s middle name and will go by Maxi. Her middle name, Drew, is said to be Jessica’s mother’s maiden name and a tribute to her.

The closer Jessica had gotten to her due date, the more random things the singer would say about her cravings and pregnancy. “I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting on my hoohah,” she once said. “Apparently I have a lot of amniotic fluid, so when my water breaks, it will be like a fire hydrant!”
