American Idol season finale airs tonight May 22, 2012. The only two contestants still standing, Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, will battle it out for your votes tonight. Who do you think will win American Idol season 11?
Jessica and Phillip will each sing three songs tonight: Fave song of theirs from the competition; a song chosen by Simon Fuller; and their first single.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: The judges’ comments after each round is at bottom of the page. They only gave comments individually after this third song. Randy said Jessica has come a long way. He did not love her winner’s song [do we ever?] but she made something with the song. Jennifer said she wouldn’t have done that song for her first single. Steven said he knows how good Jessica can sing, but he didn’t feel that the song was a proper song for her to sing. WHY do the producers always pick such crap songs for our Idols?

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: The judges’ comments after each round is at bottom of the page. They only gave comments individually after this third song. Phillip got a standing ovation after his last song. Randy loved the song and loves Phillip. Jennifer said he did not sound like any other band on that song and there’s nothing on the radio that sounds like that. Steven said he has made the world his home and he was perfect tonight. He said Phillip is the man.
JUDGES COMMENTS:
After round one, Jennifer Lopez said it is the battle of opposites and America has its work cut out for it. Randy Jackson said that Jessica won round one. Poor Steven Tyler had no chance to speak. After round two, Steven Tyler said Jessica took round two. Randy said they were both even. Jennifer said she’s going for Phillip.
