American Idol fans – No worries! Ryan Seacrest is staying put on the show which made him a household name.
The 37-year-old television personality and the hardest working man in Hollywood just signed a brand new deal with Idol to host the show for two more years!
Seacrest, who has been with the hit Fox show for eleven seasons already, said in a statement: “It’s been a wild ride, and I’m excited for my journey with ‘American Idol’ to continue.”
“Ryan is one of a kind,” Mike Darnell, president of alternative at Fox, said in a statement. “His ability to engage the viewers, keep the contestants at ease during intense moments and adapt to any situation, especially during the live shows, solidifies him as the absolute best in the business.”
Citing unnamed sources, some media industry publications report that Seacrest signed a two-year contract extension at $15 million per year, but those figures could not be confirmed.
