Nicki Minaj performed on the American Idol results show last night — and after her performance, made it very clear that she wants to be a judge sitting next to Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson! Is the superstar eyeing Jennifer Lopez‘ job? You make the call.
Here is how it went down. Nicki said while staring down the judges’ table: “I was hoping maybe I could come back and be a guest judge.” She then added, “J-Lo, can you scoot over a little bit?”
JLo quickly and wisely quipped: “I don’t know if there’s enough room for both of us.”
Backstage, Nicki elaborated on the exchange between the two divas:
“She didn’t seem to be having it but she gonna have it! No, actually, I love J-Lo. I love what she’s done for pop culture I have nothing but respect for her and we were just joking around. I’m sure I’ll have lots of fun with them when I’m guest judging.”
