A month after Whitney Houston‘s death, her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The 19-year old daughter of the late singer and Bobby Brown told Oprah Sunday night that despite reports to the contrary, she’s “doing okay.” She explained, “I’m getting through it. I’m doing as good as I possibly can… just trying to keep going.”

Since her mother’s death, Bobbi has been relying on the daily help that she says she still receives from her mom. “I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, ‘Keep talking to me. I got you.’ She’s always with me,” Bobbi said. “I can always feel her. I can always feel her with me. She always asked me, ‘Do you need me?’ And I caught myself, out of nowhere, I didn’t even know I said it, I said, ‘I’ll always need you.'”

Bobbi also opened up to Winfrey about her mother’s last day. “It was so early in the morning,” Bobbi said, adding, “I went to go get her and I said, ‘Come lay with me.’ She stayed with me all night and all day. She was just rubbing my head and holding me. I just slept in her arms.”

Bobbi is looking forward to the future and would like to dip her talented feet in the entertainment pool. Maybe she will try her hands at acting or dancing. Either way, Bobbi said, “I have to carry on the legacy.”
