Bobby Brown, who spent 15 years married to the late Whitney Houston before their 1997 divorce, learned of her death right before he and his reunited New Edition fellas were scheduled to perform in Southaven, Miss.

A band insider told E! News: “They are all together doing the absolute best they can to keep [Bobby] together.”

Since the show must go on, Bobby and his mates took the stage and Bobby started the gig by saying, “First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all.”

He continued, “Second, I would like to say, ‘I love you, Whitney.’ The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage.”

The band played Houston’s You Give Good Love” during a break, resulting in a standing ovation from the sold-out crowd.

  1. you have no idea what their situation was like. let the man grive and get off the stupid stuff. regardless she loved him however and she would probably not take to the ugly words being said of him. respect her, her time and her passing by leaving the ill times in the past.
