Showbiz is a tough world. Take Kim Kardashian for example. She is being replaced by a French bulldog for this year’s Skechers Super Bowl commercial.
Kardashian appeared in a very racy Skechers Shape-Up shoe ad during last year’s Super Bowl but then, she had a very public short-lived marriage which received a lot of public backlash.
Skechers Fitness president Leonard Armato says the decision to replace Kim had nothing to do with her divorce. He explained, “Kim got us more attention than we ever dreamed. We have to establish Skechers as more than a lifestyle company.”
I’m not really sure what that means. But, the new ad will feature the Bulldog sporting Skechers high-tech GOrun shoes and will be racing a pack of greyhounds. Apparently, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will also appear in the commercial.
Awesome. Finally, someone realizing she’s completely replaceable.
