Stacy Francis performed one of Simon Cowell’s all-time favorite auditions in Los Angeles and the 42-year-old stay-at-home mom made it to The X Factor boot camp. During the Thursday October 6, 2011 episode, Stacy shared the news that her father had died on the first day of camp and she had missed his funeral.
She gave a moving rendition of Summertime in a controlled, rich voice. After Stacy finished her song and walked out of the audition hall, L.A. Reid told the judges, “That’s pain, that’s deep deep pain.”
