RECAP: The Night Everything Changed On Big Brother – 7/28 Eviction

Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail

“Tonight everything changed,” were the opening words conveyed by Julie Chen on the Big Brother 13 July 28, 2011 live eviction and HOH competition episode.

By those words, Julie meant The Golden Keys had expired and the duos were split up, each now playing the game alone. Also, a thunderous fight had broken out in the house, severing ties between the veteran stronghold.

Read below to find out who turned on whom, who was ratted out, who got evicted and who became the new Head of Household.

DANIELE MEETS WITH BRENCHEL
After Brendon refused to use the Power of Veto to take Dominic off of the chopping block, Daniele stormed to the HOH room and told Brendon and Rachel that she has done nothing in the house but help them and she will be pissed and furious if Dominic goes home. She told them that Dom is her friend in the house and if they evict him, it’s the equivalent of giving her the shaft. Brendon told him that she is asking for taking a stranger over the five veterans. Things got heated between them all and you could tell this was not going to end pretty.

JEFF CONFRONTS DOMINIC; JORDAN CONFRONTS KALIA
Jeff asked Dominic flat out why he wanted to backdoor him. Dominic denied all allegations at first. Jeff told Dom that if he doesn’t tell him in the first minute what he had done, then it would be too late for Dom. Dominic said it was never his idea or his plan nor did he ever ask anyone to backdoor Jeff. Jeff walked out of the room and the conversation frustrated.

Jordan talked to Kalia and Kalia lied about having supported the plan to backdoor Jeff. Jordan told Jeff about her convo with Kalia and Jeff said let’s have a house meeting and throw everyone under the bus to find the truth.

DOMINIC MEETS WITH THE VETERANS
Dominic met with the veterans again to try to save himself. He said he never went to anyone to push for Jeff’s back dooring. Dominic tried to throw Daniele under the bus without ever naming her and told the veterans that he was simply standing by and watching someone else carry out her plan to backdoor Jeff; he said his only crime is that he never told the veterans of the plan. Jeff compared what Dominic did to standing by and doing nothing when a murder is being plotted. Brendon said he can’t blame Dominic for falling under the spell of the Donato Fly Trap.

KALIA MEETS WITH BRENDON
Kalia made a deal with the veterans week one, but because she felt out of the loop and because she had not touched base with them since, she felt the need to speak to Brendon to make sure everything was still OK. Kalia told Brendon that she no longer feels part of the group and instead feels like she is playing the game on her own. She said she has been honest with them but Brendon interrupted her and said whenever someone says they are an honest person, they’re ususally lying. He called her a floater and accused her of  playing both sides. He also said he’s studied rocket science and this is easier to read than rocket science.  Kalia got upset and started to walk away and Brendon yelled, “And you should start doing your own dishes.” Kalia blew up and said everyone had spies and betrayers in the house.

HOUSE MEETING
The veterans called a house meeting so they could figure out who is saying what to whom. Jeff said their plan to backdoor him blew up and now Kalia and Dominic are taking the blame for it. Jeff continued that if the two of them want to blame anyone, they should blame Daniele. Kalia said Daniele is her friend and Rachel chimed in that her so-called friend would stab her in the back quicker than she can blink an eye and send her out the door without even a pity vote. She said Daniele has a black heart.

Daniele who stayed quiet for a long time interrupted and called Rachel an idiot. Brendon shot back and said “don’t ever call my fiance an idiot.” Daniel finally admitted it was her plan because she saw Jeff as her biggest threat in the house. And the house meeting ended with Lawon finally saying the house needs to watch out because he will kill the HOH competition.

Jeff later said in the Diary Room that he needs to get Daniele out of the house or he will be evicted and be forced to watch the idiots on TV all summer.

EVICTION
In his plea to avoid eviction, Dominic slammed everyone without naming anyone. He called some housguests spineless jellyfish and so on…Everyone but Daniele cast a vote against Dominic and he was evicted by a vote of 7-1. When casting her lone vote against Adam, Daniele said she is not afraid to vote against the king and the queen (Rachel and Brendon). She also later told Julie that she did not come to play in a dictatorship, so, we know who Daniele’s target could be moving forward.

DOMINIC’S EXIT SPEECH
Dom told Julie Chen that his plea speech was to light a fire under the newbies to help Daniele. He said he had 100% trust with Daniele but was not going to take the fall for her backdoor plan and that is why he did not speak up for her during the house meeting.

About throwing the POV competition, he said he thought he could trust the veterans. He also admitted he targeted Jeff because he knew Jordan would not come after him if he succeeded but if he had gone after Brenchel, the surviving person of that duo would come after him full strength and kill his dog.

In their joint goodbye video, Jeff told Dominic that he is leaving because he tried to ruin Jeff’s plans of spending the summer with Jordan and Jordan cutely said, “As Rachel used to say, nobody comes between me and my man.”

TWIST IN THE GAME
The promised twist was not so much of a twist, because we knew that Golden Key holders were no longer automatically safe in the game and that the game from now on will be played on an individual basis.

HOH COMPETITION
“Big Brother Slalom” is the name and it’s an endurance competition. When the game starts, our houseguests were on suspended snow skis — the goal was to stay on the skis despite bad weather. Whoever lasts longer would be the new HOH. In addition, there are five snowballs and the first five who drop would get to open a snowball and there were either good or bad surprises in the snowballs, including a $10,000 cash prize.

Funny thing is that two minutes in to the comp and Lawon already looks like he is in agonizing pain–and he was the only one talking trash this week about winning the HOH.

SPOILER RESULTS
If you want to know who won the HOH competition, keep reading.  This portion has not yet aired on CBS but was aired on the live feeds:

Daniele won the HOH competition — the four veterans are in deep trouble now. As for the snowballs, Jeff won the $10K, Adam has to wear the elf outfit for a week, Brendon is a have not.
