Just as well all feared, Skating with the Stars has proved to be a dangerous gig for celebrities who do not know how to well, ice skate.
There were two separate incidents today. First, Disney Channel star Brandon Mychal Smith was hospitalized after experiencing breathing problems on the set. He will not be skating tonight. Per his rep his condition is either viral or food poisoning. He is “resting” at home now.
Only a few hours later, Brooke Castille‘s finger was sliced open while practicing with Olympic gold medal skier Jonny Mosely. TMZ reports that she was rehearsing her routine when her amateur partner, Mosley’s skate somehow caught her finger, slicing it down to the bone. She was taken to a nearby hospital and got several stitches.
