Red Hot Chili Peppers stopped at Barnes & Noble Thursday located at The Grove in Los Angeles for a fan meet and greet for the release of their new book, Red Hot Chili Peppers:  An Oral/Visual History.

Fans were lined up for hours for the chance to meet Michael “Flea” Balzary, Anthony Kiedis, and Chad Smith and to get their idols’ autographs on the newly-purchased books.

Good news for RHCP fans is that the band hopes to release a follow-up album to 2006’s Stadium Arcadium in the summer of 2011. As for what we can expect to hear once it is released, Anthony Kiedis told Kevin and Bean radio show: “The big difference, writing wise, for this album is Fleagot his piano playing together, and so instead of him coming in with really cool ideas for the bass guitar, he’d come in with really cool ideas for the piano.”

Before the meet and greet, the band met with Mario Lopez of Extra for an in-depth interview and here are a few pics from that interview which should air soon.
