This is so sweet! Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton – but what made the proposal even sweeter is that it was done with a very special ring!
He gave Kate his late mother Princess Diana’s engagement ring, because it was his way of having her be a part of their special day.
When asked about the blue 18-carat sapphire and diamond ring, William said: “It was my way of making sure my mother didn’t miss out on today.”
I guess there is still a prince charming or two left in this world!
What was Kate’s reaction? “I didn’t really expect it at all,” Middleton told Tom Bradby of ITV News in the U.K. “I thought that he had maybe sort of thought about it, but no, it was a total shock when it came – and I’m very excited.”
