VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

Yes, it is true. And absolutely foul.  Lady Gaga wore a dress made out of real slabs of red meat to the Video Music Awards this Sunday.

Lady Gaga spoke to Ellen DeGeneres Monday to explain the controversial fashion piece: “Well, it’s certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. I, as you know, am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. However, it has many interpretations, but for me this evening, if we don’t stand up for what we believe in, if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones and I am not a piece of meat!”

Ellen spoke to Ryan Seacrest this morning and admitted that it was really difficult for her to speak with  Gaga about the meat dress since Ellen is a vegan. Ellen said: “I love Lady Gaga but as someone who also loves animals it was really difficult for me to sit next to Lady Gaga when she was wearing that outfit.” Ellen even jokingly provided Lady Gaga with a vegan-friendly alternative on her show; check it out in this video clip below.

My two cents worth: Ellen, I am with you. I really do not know what Lady Gaga is trying to say here or what point she is trying to make. But I do want an answer to why her point has to be made via flesh from innocent animals. Unfortunately, it looks like Lady Gaga is on a kick to wear meat on herself for at least the foreseeable future. In case you missed it, check out Gaga’s upcoming Vogue Hommes Japan cover.
