This post is part 2 of my 3-piece-series on Paparazzi: Adrian Grenier on Extra.

Mario Lopez of Extra recently interviewed Adrian Grenier about his new documentary, Teenage Paparazzo, inspired by a random meeting between Grenier and a 13-year old paparazzi. You can read the full write up of that movie here.

Lopez asked Grenier: “How can celebs and paps co-exist?” Grenier responded: “For so long, the paps were these lurking, faceless creatures and after I made the movie I’ve gotten to know a lot of them and they’re just like us.”

I can understand what Grenier is saying that the paparazzi are just like us: After all, it is us, the fans, who create the need for the material the paps obtain.  But I also think the paps should be held to some level of accountability  and you can read why in part 3 of this 3-part series.
