George Clooney who co-produced the winner of the 2013 Best Picture Oscar, ‘Argo‘, is jealous of the good looks sported by the film’s director, Ben Affleck.

The 51-year-old actor admitted on ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ Sunday night, “I really like [Ben], except that he’s tall and good looking.”

Ya, look who’s talking.

The man who was voted by fans as the celebrity they’d most like to see on the red carpet joked, “It was me. Until they saw me with the beard. They didn’t like it. I noticed that.”

Clooney made Hollywood history by becoming the first star to be nominated in six different Academy Awards categories. Here is the list of his Oscar nods: Best Picture for ‘Argo’, Best Adapted Screenplay for ‘The Ides of March’, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’, Best Actor for ‘Michael Clayton’, ‘Up in the Air’ and ‘The Descendents’ and Best Supporting Actor for ‘Syriana’.

The honor is not lost on Clooney. “I am proud of it,” he said, adding “I’m proud of it just because if you’re going to survive in this business, you have to do other things. So the fact that I’ve been lucky enough to succeed in a bunch of different [categories] … I am going to need fall-back jobs as I get older, so it’s good to have them.”
