Cassadee Pope was crowned the winner of The Voice Season 3 after three months of heated competition.

“I don’t know [what to say],” Pope said, adding, “I feel amazing. Thank you to everyone who voted for me. Thank you Blake, the producers, hair and makeup, Carson, the band, Christina, thank you so much!”

Her coach Blake Shelton has now mentored back-to-back winners, not to mention that the runner-up this year, Terry McDermott, was on his team as well. Blake joined Cassadee on stage as confetti was falling on the ecstatic winner. Cassadee looked at her coach and simply mouthed, “I can’t believe it!” and “Oh my God!”

After the show, Cassadee told reporters about her win, “It’s unbelievable. I feel like I am dreaming right now.” Blake said, “She just has that thing that none of us can explain. God gave her an extra sprinkle which makes you love her.” Her secret to winning? Blake said “we figured out early on that Cassadee does well with heartfelt songs.”

Cassadee also admitted the show has given her more than just a singing career; it has helped her reunite with her estranged father. “I just called him on the way here, and he was just crying and is so proud…I am happy to have my dad back.”
