SPOTTED: JJ Abrams, Tom Arnold, Jon Favreau, Hannah Simone, Brandon Routh, NBCU President and COO, Ron Meyer along with 250 veterans, other members of the entertainment industry, Hollywood luminaries and community volunteers gathered at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday to kickoff Veterans Day weekend in service to the Los Angeles community at “Veterans Day 2012: Celebrating Leadership and Service.”

The event was a huge success! Lead by Got Your 6 Managing Director Chris Marvin and national veteran nonprofit, The Mission Continues, the service event spotlights veterans’ roles as community leaders as they work side-by-side with volunteers such as producer J.J. Abrams (“Revolution,” “Lost,”) to fill backpacks with food for local children at more than a dozen LAUSD schools.

Got Your 6 is a Hollywood-backed campaign devoted to changing the conversation surrounding veterans. Got Your 6 is a military term that means “I’ve got your back.” Check out GotYour6.org for more info.
