Oh nooooo Little Indonesian Monsters! Mama Gaga will not be stopping in your neck of the woods anytime soon!

The pop superstar who is scheduled to perform in Jakarta next month was just banned to perform by the nation following protests from hardline Islamic critics.  This is pretty bad news for Lady Gagaand her fans since this show would have been the biggest stop on her recently launched Asian tour. If allowed to go on, Gaga would have played at the massive, 52,000-seat Gelora Bung Karno stadium in Jakarta.Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation and the scheduled Gaga concert drew vehement opposition from many Islamic critics. Apparently, some people in that country don’t care much for Gaga’s risqué persona and racy costumes.

A spokesman for the Indonesian national police has confirmed that the Born This Way singer has been denied a permit for her June 3 show.  Local law enforcement had on several occasions requested that the show’s permit be denied and cited as reason fears that its officers will not be able to to contain a massive on-site protest which could endanger public safety.

No permit, no show.
Conservative groups such as The Islamic Defenders Front trashed the global pop superstar for her “Satanic lyrics” which they claim threaten to “destroy the children’s sense of morality.”Other protesters went so far as to swear that they would physically block Gaga from setting foot on Indonesian soil if the show wasn’t cancelled.
