PHOTOS: LMFAO Say Grandma Picked Their Band Name, Unintentionally

SPOTTED: LMFAO (Redfoo, Stefan Kendal Gordy and SkyBlu, Skyler Husten Gordy) at The Grove in Los Angeles for an interview with Mario Lopez of Extra. The duo made their entrance onto the set, dancing to their hit song, Party Rock Anthem.

Redfoo explained that he is the son and SkyBlu is the grandson of Motown record label founder Berry Gordy. And as far as their band name is concerned, they used to be known as The Sexy Dudes. That is, until grandma messaged in. SkyBlu recalls:

"We were on iChat and I said, 'Hey Grandma, what do you think about our names Sexy Dudes?' and she just wrote LMFAO…I cannot believe you. He [Redfoo] came out of the shower and said 'look at that, it is magical… Grandma knows best." And, the rest was history...
