Thousands and thousands of screaming Gleeks jammed the Staples Center Saturday for two shows put on by the cast of Glee (Samsung and AT&T are associate sponsors of the Glee Live! tour).

Before the show, the Cheerios (cheerleaders who torment the Glee club) passed out barf bags to audience members as Coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) told everyone that they were about to see a “terrible” show and that the barf bags could come in handy.

Once the show started, the jubilant screaming of the Gleeks did not stop as the New Directions performed several hit songs from the show’s two seasons.

The first song of course was the group’s anthem, Don’t Stop Believing headlined by Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) and Rachel Berry (Lea Michele).

Then came Florence and the Machine’s Dog Days are Over  by Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley).  Sing by My Chemical Romance was next on the list. Though Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) was not there in person, this Glee club director showed up on the jumbo tron to help Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris) get over her nerves and emulate her “idol.” With that, Brittany tore off her raincoat, and showed off a green bikini top and skirt, akin to the outfit Britney Spears wore in her I’m a Slave 4 U video.

Queen’s Fat Bottomed Girls was well performed by Mike Change (Harry Shum, Jr.) and Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet). Noah “Puck” Puckerman (Mark Salling) joined in for the fun in middle of the audience.

Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) softly sang the Beatles’ I Want Hold Your Hand. Then Mercedes emerged onto the second stage positioned on the other side of Staples Center and sang the hell out of Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way.”  Of course Glee paid homage to the late Michael Jackson as Artie Abrams performed PYT.

Lady Gaga’s Born This Way had our fave cast dressed in various shirts with labels such as Kurt being dressed in “likes boys” shirt. Next up was Katy Perry’s Firework by Rachel with a ton of pyromaniacs going off on stage.

On the other side of Staples Center the Warblers broke into a couple of songs, starting with Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream. Dressed in their signature navy blue and red Dalton Academy suits, the fellas moved on to Wings’ Silly Love Songs and ended with Pink’s Raise Your Glass.

Kurt and Rachel performed Barbara Streisand’s Happy Days are Here Again and then Sam and Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) belted out Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat.

Mercedes and Santata Lopez (Naya Rivera) ended the trio of duets by singing River Deep Mountain High originally performed by Ike and Tina Turner.

Then, there was a break from the music when Brittany came on the main stage to profess her love to Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss). Well, things did not go so well for Brittany as Kurt showed up unexpectedly and reminded her that Blaine is a taken man!

Finn then sang Rick Springfield’s Jessie’s Girl followed by Santana’s rendition of Valerie by Amy Winehouse.

Loser Like Me was the last song of the night amidst the group releasing confetti into the audience from mock slushie cups.

But wait, there was an encore! We go to the back stage where Kurt performed Beyonce’s Single Ladies. Focus goes again to the main stage, Blaine, Artie, Harry and Sam sang Rebecca Black’s Friday.

Artie Abrams then said “Everyone has a dream and this is my dream.” With those words, he got out of his wheelchair and performed Men Without Hats’ Safety Dance.

Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige’s Empire State of Mind and Queen’s Somebody to Love were the last songs of the night by the entire group.
