Forbes Releases 2010 List of Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Actors – The Honorees Will Shock You.

This is one Forbes list no actor wants to be on. The list I am talking about is Hollywood’s Most Overpaid Actors 2010. Apparently when you are paid the big bucks in Hollywood, you are expected to bring in the big bucks as well. This list lets us know which actors brought in the least amount of revenue per each dollar that they earned.

Topping the list for the second year in a row is Will Ferrell, due to the biggest flop of his career, Land of the Lost. But to be fair to him, I have to point out that his summer hit, The Other Guys, hit the theaters well after the June 1 deadline for this year’s list.
To create their list, Forbes looked at the 36 highest-earning actors in Hollywood. To qualify, each had to have starred in at least three movies in the past five years that opened in more than 500 theaters. Movies that opened after June 1 of this year were not counted. Apparently, comedians fare specially badly on this list because comedies do not translate well overseas and therefore, cut into a film’s potential profits. Who knew?
So, who else made this infamous and highly-undesirable list?
Coming in at number 2, we have Eddie Murphy. Meet Dave and Imagine That did not fare as well as Murphy’s other movies such as Doctor Dolittle and Daddy Daycare. And Shrekdid not count in the tabulations as no animated movies were considered.Denzel Washington at 3? An Oscar winner? Denzel? I would not have believed he would be third on this list, but he is.

I love Seth Rogen. But apparently, he falls prey to the comedian jinx as well as he comes in fourth. His latest movie Funny Peoplecost $75 million to make and earned only $71 million at the box office. OK, that makes the ranking make more sense.Tom Cruise comes in at number 5. Valkyrie didn’t do anything to help this once-biggest movie star on the planet. And Knight and Day came in after the June 1 deadline. Possibly the next installment of Mission Impossible will help Tom dig his way out of his box-office rut.

It makes me sad that my girl Drew Barrymore is on this list. But, she makes it at number 6.

Matt Damon rears his head at number 7: Outside of the Bourne series, Matt does not seem to fare as well with movie-goers.

Vince Vaughn: I guess number 8 is not that bad considering such bigger names as Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington far outbeat him.

Adam Sandler is at number 9 because of Funny People not being found funny by too many movie-goers. Lucky for Adam, he will probably sneak out of the list next year because his mega-hit, Grown Ups, hit theaters after the June 1 deadline for this year’s list.READ MORE: ADAM SANDLER BUYS A SUPER GIFT FOR HIS GROWN UPS CAST MEMBERS!

Last on the list at number 10 is Jim Carrey: The Number 23 and Fun With Dick and Jane outdid all the good Yes Man did for Jim.
