Here we go again.

Paris Hilton was arrested for possession of cocaine after officers stopped the car she was in on a Las Vegas street late Friday night.

Public Information officer Marcus Martin said Hilton was booked into the Clark County Detention Center early Saturday morning on a charge of possession of cocaine.

He said she was in a car driven by boyfriend Cy Waits that was stopped when officers noticed what they suspected to be marijuana smoke coming from it.

Martin said that during the stop officers found what appeared to be a controlled substance on Hilton and tests showed that it was cocaine.Waits was booked on charges of DUI, while Hilton was busted for possession of a controlled substance … cocaine.

He said he did not know how much of the drug was found.

Las Vegas police Lt. Wayne Holman said that Hilton was still being held around 2 a.m. Saturday. He said she would probably be released on her own recognizance later in the morning.

At least she looks super uber cute in her mug shot.

Update 8/28: David Chesnoff, Hilton’s lawyer has issued the following statement about her arrest:

“Paris Hilton was released this morning on her own recognizance. This matter will be dealt with in the courts not in the media and I encourage people not to rush to judgment until all of the facts have been dealt with in a court of law. There will be no interviews and no more comments at this time.”
