Pretty Little Liars DVD Season 1 Bonus Material

The Pretty Little Liars DVD is out now and it comes with bonus material which you will absolutely love.
My two favorite features are:

Making of Pretty Little Liars
Making of PLL includes extensive interview with the show’s executive producer, author of the book, and the cast. They each talk about why the show hits so close to home with so many devoted fans, about the chemistry between the cast members, and why each TV character was cast even though the actresses don’t look like the images of the characters in the book. I won’t spill the beans, you’re gonna have to watch DVD for yourself to see all the juicy details. But, here is a teaser: Did you know the pilot was shot in snowy Canada and the scenes were supposed to be summer scenes?! The girls were wearing bikinis with UGGs boots (hidden from camera lens!) just to keep warm! That’s just one of the many secrets of the show!

Little Secrets from The Set
The DVD also includes Shay giving a tour of the set with a Flip cam. She shows what takes place behind the scenes: From makeup, to wardrobe, to what the actresses eat on the set, to what their dressing rooms look like. One cool thing I learned: There are no windows on the set, so, the actors have no idea what time it is. They shoot night and day scenes without ever knowing what time they’re actually are in.

The Making Of also includes a great spotlight on the wardrobe. Check out a sneak peek here:

VIDEO: Kinetic King Blows Up Hundreds Of Popsicle Sticks

The Kinetic King blew us away when he set off the biggest chain reaction Popsicle stick bomb the world has ever seen on Wednesday night’s America’s Got Talent. What took 8 hours to build, was completely destroyed in a mere seconds.

Growing up, the Kinetic King did not have many dominoes, so, this is the end result of what his experimentations with blowing up Popsicle sticks has lead to:

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY: Silhouettes Perform A Shadow Dance On America’s Got Talent

The audition process continued on America’s Got Talent Wednesday June 8, this time in Minneapolis where a colorful array of 9-18 year old hopeful future stars showcased their unusual shadow dancing talents for the judges with the hope of earning a spot on the show.

I am talking about The Silhouettes of course. Watch their unique audition for yourself:

What A Year! Shania Twain Announces Las Vegas Residency

Shania Twain may haven fallen during the CMT awards, but things are otherwise looking up for the superstar in 2011.

In addition to releasing her memoir and getting her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year, Shania just announced a two-year residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The Still the One concert series will begin on December 1, 2012 and she will perform 60 shows per year.

Shania told the media: “This is a dream for any recording artist. This is more than an opportunity, it’s an exceptional gift.”

This is amazing news considering recent reports that Shania has been struggling with dysphonia since her divorce, a medical condition which causes the muscles in her throat to squeeze her voice box and basically disabling her from singing.

If you have an American Express card, you can get advances pre-sale tickets starting tonight!

VIDEO: Jimmy Buffett Talks About His Margaritaville Video Game (Photos)

SPOTTED: Jimmy Buffett at The Grove, LA, for an interview with Jerry Penacoli of Extra. Jimmy talked about his new “Margaritaville Online” video game made for Facebook and iOS devices, due out this fall. This online video game will target Buffett’s devoted followers, known as Parrotheads.

Buffett plays himself in the game and says about the game’s development, “I was pretty actively involved in it because the key to it was finding somebody who basically knew the myth and basically were Parrotheads before. I didn’t want to have to explain myself to anybody anymore.”

Lauren Alaina Sets Highest Debut Single Sales For Idol Runner-Up In 6 Years

Lauren and me 🙂

American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina is quickly becoming an established artist. Like My Mother Does, her debut single, has already sold 121,204 digital downloads and entered Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart at No. 20.

The sales mark the highest debut for a second place finalist in six years. The number 1 runner up is Clay Aiken’s This Is The Night / Bridge over Troubled Water which sold 393,000. Bo Bice’s Inside Your Heaven / Vehicle has a total of 121,423 downloads and Adam Lambert’s debut single Mad World sold 114,763.

Lauren loves it! She says, “This is so awesome! American Idol’ has changed my life, so I’m excited that the songs I performed on there are doing so well. I can’t believe that I have a song out on country radio, much less that so many stations started playing it right away. I can’t wait to get out and meet everybody and thank them personally for playing my song.”

In case you’re wondering, Idol winner Scotty McCreery sold 171,000 downloads of his debut I love You This Big —A song which debuted at No. 32 on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Hot Country Songs chart. THAT may not sound so impressive until you also take into account this little fact: NO new artist’s first single has debuted that high since Jan. 20, 1990.

Congrats Alaina and Scotty.

VIDEO: Frenchie Davis Lets Love Take Over On The Voice

Adam Levine said there is something so beautiful about her and she made him really love that song. Blake Shelton said Frenchie is the most powerful singer in the competition.
