Remember when I told you all that the October 14th episode of 30 Rock will be broadcast live? Well, it will be.

NBC is sponsoring a contest for four pairs of tickets to the show — which is actually two shows since the cast will perform the live episode twice, once for the East Coast and then once for the West Coast. Winners will also receive round-trip travel, a two-night hotel stay and dinner for two.

 My friend Wes is visiting from the east coast and I was showing him around Hollywood last night. 
We were walking by The Jimmy Kimmel Live studio – no sooner had Wes finished saying how much he loves Kimmel and how he wished he could meet him that Jimmy Kimmel stepped outside, for a few seconds, to tape a promo spot. 
Ya, it really does happen like that in LA. Here is the video:

American Idol Opens Online Auditions For First Time In History

There is a first time for everything.  In celebration of American Idol‘s 10-year anniversary, Idol has partnered with MySpace to allow aspiring singers the opportunity to audition online for the first time in Idol history.

Want to give it a try? Audition videos can be uploaded to MySpace’s American Idol page until October 6.

Submitted videos must be a Capella and be chosen from an approved list.
Videos are limited to 40 seconds in length. A select few will move forward from these online auditions to the callback round in Los Angeles.

Drew Barrymore Talks Love, Body, Lifestyle In Harper’s Bazaar

Drew Barrymore still is madly in love with Justin Long despite their on-again, off-again romance.

Drew is on the October cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine in which she talks about Justin, her body and her life.

On Justin:
“He’s the cat’s pajamas. I couldn’t love, respect, admire, and enjoy that individual more than I do. It would be physically impossible for me to have any more giggly joy at this person.”

On her life:
“I actually really love to lie in bed, watch TV, be a total sloth, and eat my favorite food: Kraft macaroni and cheese. Last night I was watching The Next Food Network Star, eating mac and cheese, and feeling grand. And that was after I wore a sequined Givenchy gown with giant holes cut out of it.”

On her body image:

“I feel like some of my baby fat is going away, and that’s not just physically, it’s psychologically. I think that your body is in tune with your mind and your spirituality and your heart. If things are going better, I just think you look better.”
This issue of Harper’s Bazzar hits the newsstands Tuesday, September 28.

Kanye West Apologizes Again To Taylor Swift

I for one say: It’s time to cut Kanye West some slack. He is on a mission lately to make amends for the whole Tayler Swift incidence at last year’s VMA’s and I think we should listen.

Kanye opened up again to XXL magazine about the incident with Taylor Swift and why he had to go into hiding after the VMA’s.

ABOUT THE INCIDENT:
“I stress that the incident wasn’t about Taylor personally. And it definitely wasn’t about race. Where I messed up is, at the end of the day, it’s your show, Taylor. It’s your show, MTV. The relationship with the public and with your fans is like the relationship with your girlfriend. How could I not, at a certain point, be like, ‘I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been at the awards show. I’m sorry.’ Not that I don’t deserve to get beat up or change who I am inside, to make sure that that doesn’t happen again.”

ABOUT GOING INTO HIDING:
“I knew I wasn’t in a great spot publicly after the incident, but I would just block it out and work as hard as possible and let my work be my saving grace. In a way, I had thrown a Molotov cocktail at my own career, and it gave me an opportunity, for the first time, to go away and find out who I was. Because I felt very alone.”
