Sarah Ferguson Blames Herself For Royal Wedding Diss

Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, told Oprah Winfrey that not receiving an invitation to the Royal Wedding was “so difficult because I wanted to be there with my girls and to be getting them dressed and to go as a family.”

Ferguson’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, attended the wedding with their father and Ferguson’s ex-husband, Prince Andrew. Ferguson herself went to Thailand on that day to get away from it all.
Ferguson blames herself for the royal diss. “I felt that I ostracized myself by my behavior, by the past, by living with all the regrets of my mistakes. That I sort of wore a hair shirt and beat myself up most of the day thinking and regretting why did I make such a mistake?”

The full interview with Ferguson will air on The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday May 11. Ferguson’s new series Finding Sarah will premiere in June on Winfrey’s new cable station, OWN.

May 25th Will Be Last Air Date For ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

They say, all good things must come to an end.

And so, after 25 years in production, Harpo Productions confirmed Friday that the last episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show will air May 25, 2011.

The show has been in reruns for the last few weeks, but Winfrey tweeted Thursday that she was “hard at work planning the final shows” and new episodes would begin April 7.

David Arquette Tells Oprah He Started Drinking At 4

David Arquette may be sober now, but he started drinking alcohol at a very young age.

Arquette told Oprah Winfrey during an interview which will air Thursday: “I must have been four years old [when I drank alcohol the first time]. I was down in the basement with my dad and the beer was there and I just grabbed it and drank it. I remember that. It’s one of my earliest memories.”

Arquette continued: “I seriously started drinking probably when I was about 12. I stole pot from my father when I was eight years old.”

That early start lead to a serious case of alcoholism in adulthood, a case so sever that it lead to an intervention by those who love him most. Arquette told Oprah: “I came back from Miami and I had taken a nap and I woke up and [sister] Patricia and [estranged wife] Courteney [Cox] were at my bed. I was like, ‘What are you two doing here together?'”

In addition to Courtney and Patricia, many other concerned friends were there waiting for Arquette in the living room.

“My best friend was there, my business partner and some guy I don’t know, and I go, ‘What up, turkeys? I guess this is my intervention.'”

Victoria Beckham Lives In A Really Happy House

Victoria Beckham graces the cover of Allure‘s 20th anniversary issue and talks about life with hubbie David Beckham, the kids, being comfortable in her own skin, and oh, Oprah wearing her line.

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On her happy home life:
“Our house is a really happy house. There are kids running around and laughing and joking, I smile so much more than people would think. There’s nothing better than being in LA with my kids, cooking dinner with my husband and having a romantic night in, and I get an email, and Demi Moore, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Blake Lively, or whoever it is, is doing the red carpet and wearing my dress.”

On being comfortable in her own skin:
“For the first time, I feel like what you see is what you get. This is me: the more natural hair, the slightly more relaxed way of dressing. I feel really content personally and professionally. I’m not freaked out about getting older. I’m growing older with the most amazing man I’ve ever met – with my soul mate. Life’s great.”

On Oprah wearing a dress from her fashion line:
“I was so proud, I rang my mum.”

Oprah’s Father Found Out About Her Half-Sister On TV Like The Rest Of Us!

Oprah stunned her audience Monday when she revealed a life-changing family secret on her talk show. Before she made the revelation, Oprah said, “For the most part, my life has been an open book. I thought nothing could surprise me, but I was wrong.”

The secret which “shocked” Oprah “to the core” is that Oprah has a half-sister named Patricia who was given up for adoption by Oprah’s mother, Vernita Lee, in 1963. Lee was able to keep the pregnancy and adoption a secret from Oprah because Oprah was living with her father at the time.

Oprah found out about her half-sister last year after the 47-year-old Patricia began a search for her birth mother and was led to the billionaire businesswoman as her sister in 2007. Patricia had previously tried several times to contact her unknown birth mother but was told by the adoption agency that the mother did not want any contact from Patricia.
On The Oprah Winfrey Show, Patricia said that she first started thinking Oprah might be her long-lost sister when she saw an interview with Lee on TV. Lee just happened to talk about two of her other children which had previously died and the information Lee gave matched sibling information listed on the adoption papers in Patricia’s possession.
After Patricia watched Lee’s interview on TV, she found Oprah’s niece, and DNA tests confirmed the two were related.

Oprah wanted to share the news of her newly-found sister on her terms and on her own show, lest the other media tell a different story filled with half-truths and lies. Oprah was somehow able to keep the information a secret from the world until she was ready to share the jaw-dropping info.

Even Oprah’s dad, Vernon Winfrey, learned about the new addition to the family like the rest of us did: While watching the much-hyped show Monday! Vernon who is not Patricia’s father told RadarOnline.com “I’m pleased for Oprah that she discovered that she has a new half-sister and I would like to meet her too. I intend to call Oprah later this evening actually to try and catch-up with her about the exciting news.”
I don’t know about Oprah, but I still have not been able to wrap my head around this news!

Oprah Winfrey To Reveal “Miracle” Family Secret Monday

Oprah Winfrey revealed last week that she will make a huge announcement this Monday on The Oprah Winfrey Show about a family secret she learned of a few months ago and which “shook her to her core.”

Oprah even teased fans with preview footage of someone coming towards her onto the stage for an embrace.

What could this secret be? Who could this mystery person be? Any guess is a good guess as it could be anything. Could it be a sister? A brother? A lost child she may have given up for adoption? Was Oprah herself adopted? Whatever/whoever it is, Oprah calls it is a “miracle.”

Gayle King Gets Her Own Show! Watch Her Dance With Mario Lopez In Celebration!

Talk show host and Oprah Winfrey‘s BFF, Gayle King, is getting her own show! The Gayle King Show will premiere Monday, Jan. 10 at 10:00 AM on Winfrey’s OWN Network.

Gayle stopped by The Grove in Los Angeles, CA to tell Mario Lopez of Extra all about her new show, her best friend Oprah, her love for Katy Perry, and to dish out some great advice to women.

About her new show, Gayle said: “We’re marrying radio [her popular Oprah XM radio show] and TV together. It’s not celebrity-driven, although I am a big pop culture and news junkie, and so am certainly very in touch with that. What makes it work is the people that come to call and come to play with me.”

King will also be participating in OWN’s Ask Oprah’s All Stars with Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz and Suze Orman.

At the moment OWN launched, Gayle could not be with her best friend. But she called Oprah and told her, “I am so proud and so happy for you!” Gayle continued, “Listen, this is a young black girl. ‘Colored’ girl back then who grew up with no TV! Who now has a network!”

What is the biggest advice Gayle has learned along her road to success and which she wants to tell women: “We are juggling so many balls. And occasionally you’re gonna drop a ball but my thing is you pick it up and just keep going. And just refuse to beat yourself up when you are doing the best you can.”

Gayle loves Katy Perry’s Firework, so, the crew played the song and Gayle and Mario danced away!
