Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl Cocktails Pulled From Whole Foods Shelves

OH OH Bethenny Frankel!

The Huffington Post reports that Whole Foods supermarket chain has pulled all of Frankel’s Skinnygirl cocktails from its shelves when it found out that the cocktail’s natural ingredients were, well, not so natural.

“The store prides itself in selling the best quality whole products that our high-end consumers expect. Not novelty products that are shaded with secrecy,” a Whole Foods source says, referring to the fact that no ingredients are actually listed on the Skinnygirl bottle or package.

Neither The Skinnygirl website nor the Whole Foods site mentions the withdrawal and we have yet to receive comment from Frankel. But perhaps we should take heed to the reality star’s oft-spoken motto: “You have to fake it until you make it.” Or maybe the Bethenny Ever After star is just otherwise busy laughing all the way to the bank since she reportedly sold the brand to Fortune Brands’ Beam Global Spirits and Wine unit for $120 million back in the spring. Looks like we have a great dump off here!

Update: Bethenny sent this statement to Access Hollywood:
With all due respect to Whole Foods, we were in a dozen of their stores and have decided not to continue in these stores. They represent an infinitesimal fraction of our business. We are, in fact, the fastest growing spirits brand in the US,” her statement continued. “We were bound to piss someone off and everyone loves to try to tear down a success. This is a non-event. I haven’t lost even a wink of sleep.”

Fans lined up for hours for a chance at a meet and greet with Frankel, the star of the hit Bravo series, Bethenny Ever After, and formerly Real Housewives of New York City. Oh, and Skating with the Stars.

Frankel signed copies of her new book — the New York Times Bestseller, A Place of Yes, which has quickly become a new fan favorite. Frankel has over 500,000 followers on Twitter, and from the looks of the many who showed up to meet her in person, she has fans who are continually inspired by all that she has accomplished and continues to accomplish.

A BIG BIG thanks to The Grove for providing all of the pics below:
