Angelina Jolie: “I Don’t Have Girlfriends”

Angelina Jolie has started a family with Brad Pitt, is Hollywood’s highest paid actress, is a generous philanthropist, and looks like a super model. But the one thing this woman lacks is having girlfriends.

The actress admits to Marie Claire magazine that “I don’t really have girlfriends.” She says she just  talks to Brad and the kids to satisfy her social cravings.

“I don’t really have girlfriends [who are] in movies, if you’ve noticed. Well, I have a few girlfriends, I just…I stay at home a lot. I’m just not very social. I don’t do a lot with them, and I’m very homebound.” Continue reading

Angelina Jolie: I’m Lucky I Didn’t Die Young

Angelina Jolie is now a devoted mother of six, married to Brad Pitt and a generous humanitarian.

But it wasn’t too long ago that she raised a lot of eyebrows when she carried around a vial of Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around her neck. Oh, and kissing her brother on the mouth on national TV.

On this Sunday’s edition of 60 Minutes, the actress opens up about those wilder days. “I went through heavy, darker times and I survived them,” she admits. “I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky.” She reflects, “There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things.”

Jolie would not go into detail about those things but said, “I think people can imagine that I did the most dangerous and I did the worst – and for many reasons I shouldn’t be here.”
Jolie also admits that she is not completely over her dangerous side. “I’m still a bad girl,” she says. “I still have that side of me…it belongs to Brad. Or…our adventures.”

Brad Pitt: “Angelina Jolie & I Should Make Movies Together!”

Brad Pitt graces the cover of this week’s Entertainment Weekly and inside gives a rare in-depth interview from London while promoting Moneyball and shooting the zombie epic World War Z.

In the interview, Pitt says about meeting his wife Angelina Jolie on the set of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, “[We] had some good laughs and ideas. That was just a great collaboration that turned into a greater collaboration.”
Pitt says he and Jolie may reconsider their policy of never working at the same time. This decision of theirs has helped the family, but it has also meant that they have not been able to make movies together:

“We should be doing them together. That’s what we should do. We should be doing everything together. Then we could work less and have more time off.”

In the interview, Pitt also frankly discusses his career failures. Take 1994’s Interview with The Vampire, for example, which makes him admit: “I am miserable. Six months in the f—ing dark. Contact lenses, makeup, I’m playing the bitch role…” He continues, “One day, it broke me… I called David Geffen, who was a producer… I said, ‘David, I can’t do this anymore. I can’t do it. How much will it take to get me out?’ And he goes, very calmly, ‘Forty million dollars.’”

Tom Brady & Gisele Bundchen Top Highest Paid Couples List

Every time I turn around, I see a new listing of the rich and famous from Forbes. Heck, it’s a slow news day, so, let’s dive into their latest: “World’s Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples” list.

A supermodel and an NFL star is apparently the winning combination when it comes to making lots of dough. Topping the list of the richest couples are footballer Tom Brady and his beautiful wife Gisele Bundchen who earned an astounding $76 combined last year. Good for Bundchen who made the majority of that stash by making $45 million herself. Continue reading

Video: Brad Pitt Talks About Possible Marriage To Angelina Jolie

Don’t be surprised if wedding bells finally ring and ring soon for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.  The couple has six children together — and the kids are starting to ask their famous parents why they’re not married.

Brad and Angelina have always said they wouldn’t get married until everyone was legally able to but things have changed since the kids started to ask questions.

Brad told USA Today: “The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at.”

Brad also spoke of his fatherly duties: “Kids hold up a mirror to you. You can’t make excuses. You’ve got to make sure they’ve brushed their teeth and eaten a good breakfast. You want to be present if they wake up with a bad dream.”

“On the road, we’re a military mobile unit. The kids have got their stuff down to one backpack, and they’re each responsible for their own bag. Mom does the packing; she’s quite gifted at that. Puts in just what we need – nothing extra.”

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Walk The Kung Fu Panda Premiere Red Carpet

Angelina Jolie was escorted by her lovely and proud sorta-hubby Brad Pitt at the Los Angeles premiere of DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 2 held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Sunday (May 22) in Hollywood, CA.

Angelina wore a Michael Kors dress with the usual super sexy slit she’s been fashioning of late with Ferragamo shoes.

As if these two weren’t cute enough, all of their lovely six kids came along to watch the movie.

Instead of the usual professional shots you find on CelebMagent, sometimes I like to include fan pics like these – to show what it’s like to be a regular Joe among the paparazzi at a big event – and to show how close the fans can get to their fave stars!

Ricky Gervais: ” It Was All In Good Fun!”

What did you think of Ricky Gervais’ one-sided banter last night as he hosted the Golden Globe Awards? I felt it was just a bit too mean-spirited and don’t think most of the celebs he insulted liked his style either.

During the show, Robert Downey, Jr. said: “Aside from the fact that it’s been hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones, I’d say the vibe of the show’s pretty good so far, wouldn’t you?”

Even mild-mannered Tom Hanks took a jab back at Gervais during the award presentation by saying he could remember “when Ricky Gervais was a slightly chubby but very kind comedian.”

Here are just some of the comments Gervais made. What do you think: Funny or insulting?

  1. “It’s going to be a night of partying and heavy drinking. Or as Charlie Sheen calls it, “breakfast.”
  2. “Everything this year was three-dimensional, except the characters in The Tourist. I feel bad about that joke. I’m jumping on the bandwagon, because I haven’t even seen that movie. But who has?”
  3. “Our first presenter is beautiful, talented, and Jewish apparently. Mel Gibson told me that. He’s obsessed. Please welcome Scarlett Johansson.”
  4. “Next up, Eva Longoria has the daunting task of introducing the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press. That’s nothing, I just had to help him off the toilet and pop his teeth in.”
  5. “Do you want to go see Cher? No. Why not? Because it’s not 1975.”
  6. “There were a lot of big films that didn’t get nominated. Nothing for Sex and the City 2. I was sure the Golden Globes for special effects would go to the team which airbrushed that poster.”
  7. “Also not nominated I Love You Phillip Morris. Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. Two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay. So, the complete opposite of some famous Scientologists.  My lawyers helped me with the wording of that joke.”
  8. “Who are our next presenter from such films as Hudson Hawk, Look Who’s Talking, Mercury Rising, Color of Night, The Fifth Element, Hart’s War. Please welcome Ashton Kutcher’s dad, Bruce Willis.”
  9. “I love this next presenter. He’s so cool. He’s the star of Iron Man. Two Girls and a Guy. Wonderboys. I’m sorry are these porn films? Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Bowfinger? Up the Academy. Come on! He has done all of those films, but many of you in this room probably know him best from such facilities as The Betty Ford Clinic and the Los Angeles County Jail. Robert Downey, Jr.”
  10. “I’d like to quash the rumors that the only reason The Tourist was nominated was so that the Hollywood Foreign Press can hang out with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. That is rubbish, that is not the only reason. They also accepted bribes.”
  11. My least favorite: “And thank you to God…… For making me an atheist.”

How did Gervais feel about his own performance? Here is what he told The Los Angeles Times after he finished ripping into all of Hollywood:

“I hope everyone took it well… I hope they can all take a bit of roasting from a nobody like me. Did I think twice about any of [the jokes]? No, I didn’t. I’d say any of that to their faces. I’d walk up to them and say it. That’s the test for me. And it’s in good fun.”

Johnny Depp: “Disney Executives Thought I Was Ruining Pirates Of The Carribean!”

When I say Johnny Depp graces the cover of the January issue of Vanity Fair, I do mean “graces!” Seriously, just look at the cover and you will know what I mean.

Depp can do anything. And he pretty much has. He has shined in some of Hollywood’s most intense, heavy and dark films (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Sweeney Todd, Blow and Edward Scissorhands) yet has also made us all fall in love and be dazzled and charmed by his light-hearted portrayal of quirky Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. OH, and who can forget his endearing performance as oddball-loner Sam in Benny & Joon? (Depp–If you ever read this, know that I may be your number one fan! Just sayin’. SO, thank you!)

Anyway, back to earth. In the interview with Vanity Fair, Depp talks about meeting Angelina Jolie for the first time on the set of their upcoming movie, The Tourist; the executives at Disney who didn’t like his interpretation of Caption Sparrow; and how he almost became a musician instead of an actor.

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

On Meeting Angelina Jolie for the first time on the set of The Tourist:

“Meeting her and getting to know her was a real pleasant surprise. You don’t know what she might be like—if she has any sense of humor at all. I was so pleased to find that she is incredibly normal, and has a wonderfully kind of dark, perverse sense of humor.”

On Disney executives not liking his portrayal of Captain Sparrow:

“They couldn’t stand him. They just couldn’t stand him. I think it was Michael Eisner, the head of Disney at the time, who was quoted as saying, ‘He’s ruining the movie.’ Upper-echelon Disney-ites, going, What’s wrong with him? Is he, you know, like some kind of weird simpleton? Is he drunk? By the way, is he gay?… And so I actually told this woman who was the Disney-ite… ‘But didn’t you know that all my characters are gay?’ Which really made her nervous.”

On ALMOST becoming a musician:

“Going into acting was an odd deviation from a particular road that I was on in my late teens, early 20s, because I had no desire, no interest, really, in it at all. I was a musician and I was a guitarist, and that’s what I wanted to do.”

I am sure Johnny you would make a fine musician as well, but thank God you picked the road that eventually lead us all to the world which includes your interpretation of Captain Jack Sparrow!

Johnny Depp & Angelina Jolie Admit “We’re Not That Social!”

When I think of Hollywood, two names that readily pop into my head are Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. So, it’s hard for me to believe that these two had never met each other in the Hollywood circles before they made their first movie together.

But that is what happened: Depp and Jolie met for the first time on the set of their upcoming movie, The Tourist.

Angelina Jolie Heads to Hungary With All The Jolie-Pitt Children

Angelina Jolie has packed up the kids and gone to Hungary!

Jolie is making her directorial debut in the country, and all the Joilie-Pitt children have flown to Budapest with her while Brad Pitt finishes up shooting Moneyball in the States.

“Angelina has enlisted her children into (an) elite French-American school that they will attend from next week on,” a source tells People of Pax and Maddox.

“The school has kindergarten, too, where Zahara and Shiloh will attend.”
