Michael Jackson And Cirque Du Soleil Join Forces To Create “Immortal Tour”

I just had an OMG moment at hearing this scrumptious news!

The best show on earth, Cirque du Soleil, is joining forces with the greatest catalog of music, that of Michael Jackson, to create Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, set to launch October of 2011.

The new Cirque du Soleil Immortal Tour show will focus on Michael Jackson’s three solo concert tours: the 1987 Bad World Tour, the Dangerous World Tour and the HIStory World Tour.

Beginning next October, the world tour will kick off in Canada, working its way to the U.S. and finding a permanent home at Vegas’ MGM Mirage hotel in 2012.

All I have to say to that is: Where and how soon can I buy my ticket?

In case you were wondering, the partnership between the Michael Jackson Estate and Cirque du Soleil ensures that each party will receive 50 percent of the profits. Michael Jackson already tops Forbes’ list of top-earning dead celebrities by having made $275 million after his death. I can’t imagine what this partnership will mean for his estate for years to come.

Good Charlotte brothers Joel and Benji Madden were at The Grove Tuesday to promote their brand new album, Cardiology, which was released on the same day. Joel’s is engaged to Nicole Richie

Describing the sound to MTV news, Joel Madden said it would sound a lot like Blink-182.[2][3] Joel Madden went on to say in the same MTV interview that “There’s nothing dance-y on the record, though, at all, which is different from our last one,” [4] further implying a movement away from the sound of Good Morning Revival.

The role of being a parent is a part of their music on ‘Cardiology,’ one that has directly influenced the writing of the album. “[There’s] a song that I wrote for my daughter called ‘Harlow’s Song,’ and it was originally like a lullaby, and then [Benji] heard it and really liked it, and the guys heard it and they all liked it,” Joel says. “I’ve never written a song like that. It was pretty interesting. It’s like a straight love song for somebody. It’s a lullaby, and it ended up being on the record. I’ve never really had the ability to write songs like that. So I guess my life has changed a lot. ”

Here they are performing their first single off of Cardiology, Like Its Her Birthday

Katy Perry Says Russell Brand Is A Man Of God And She Is A Freak In Bed

Russell Brand is pretty funny. We knew that already. But apparently, he is much more than that if you listen to his new not-so-blushing but utterly gushing wife, Katy Perry.
Perry told Harper’s Bazaar: “I always knew I wanted a great man of God...Someone who’s an inspiration for people and also a lovely husband and father.” Perry continued: “We’re at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together.”
“I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him.”
So, of course, a man of God needs a freak in bed, and that is exactly who he has in Perry. Perry recently told Now Magazine: “Like Ludacris raps, ‘I’m a lady in the street and a freak in the bed.  If you ask Russell I’m sure he’d give me a 10 out of 10.”
Sounds like a match made in heaven! LOVE IT!

Kim Kardashian Recording A Music Album Of Her Own!

Word on the street is that Kim Kardashian has teamed up with superproducer Terius Youngdell “The-Dream” Nash to help Kim release a music album of her very own.

That’s right, Kim wants to become a pop singer! The-Dream might actually be able to help Kim pull off her dream as his music production credits include hits like Rihanna’s Umbrella and Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).
Kim told Hollyscoop, “Producers ask me all the time [about recording an album] I’d have to hear a song and feel it out and see if it’s something I’d sound good at. I would like the music to sound a bit like Lady GaGa, Britney Spears and J.Lo with a bit of an R’n’B twist to it.”

Kim has said before that she’s too shy to sing, but now she seems ready to give it a try: “I’ve decided this year I’m going to do things that are outside my comfort zone, so I think I might try a little bit here and there and just see what happens with it,” Kim told Hollyscoop.

As soon as I get more details, or get a release date, I will let you know.

American Idol Releases Nostalgia-Inducing Promo Spot Video

VIDEO CLIP OF THE DAY.

American Idol has released its first promo video clip for Season 10 and by the looks of it, they’re trying to make us nostalgic for the show’s gone by and most likely possibly better days.

The video takes us back to the first -time auditions of all nine of the show’s crown winners including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Kris Allen, Ruben Studdard, Jordin Sparks and Fantasia Barrino. I guess I could also mention Taylor Hicks and Lee DeWyze since I mentioned everyone else.

Does this promo video make you miss American Idol? Does it do enough to make all of the old faithful to want to tune in? Who is actually excited for this new season and chapter in the long-successful reality show? Tell me, tell me!

ABC Unveils Skating With The Stars Cast

As soon as the current season of Dancing With the Stars finishes, ABC will debut a brand new celebrity competition, this time, involving an ice rink versus a dance floor.
The show will be called Skating With the Stars and ABC unveiled its inaugural cast tonight during the Dancing with the Stars Tuesday results show.  Here are the six “celebs” who will kickoff the new ABC show live Nov. 22:

Bethenny Frankel, star of Bravo’s Bethenny Getting Married? and formerly The Real Housewives of New York

Brandon Mychal Smith plays super-suave Nico Harris on the Disney Channel sitcom Sonny With A Chance. He also recently starred as Stubby in the Disney Channel Original Movie StarStruck.

Jonny Moseley has amassed an impressive list of titles and medals as a skier but it’s his ability to bring the crowd to its feet that defines his career. He’s been a free-skiing force in the Olympics and at the X-Games.

Daytime Emmy Award nominee and fan favorite Rebecca Budig originally joined the cast of All My Children in 1999, playing the role of Greenlee Smythe. After nearly a year hiatus, she made her many fans very happy by returning in December of 2009.

From Blade Runner with Harrison Ford to No Way Out with Kevin Costner to Ace Ventura: Pet Detective with Jim Carrey, Sean has starred in some of the most iconic movies in Hollywood history!

Vince Neil is a rocker and founding member of Mötley Crüe. His unmistakable voice leads some of the greatest rock songs of this generation including: Shout At The Devil, Home Sweet Home, Girls, Girls, Girls, Dr. Feelgood, Kickstart My Heart, Same Ol Situation, and the recent Saints of Los Angeles, which was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2009.

When I first heard about another celebrity skating show, I thought this was a joke because Fox had tried this a few years ago and failed pretty miserably.  But, I guess ABC is serious.  Let’s hope this show enjoys all of the success of its sister show, Dancing with the Stars.

Dancing With The Stars Elimination Results – SPOILER ALERT!

Another unexpected celeb exit for Dancing with the Stars tonight.  Who do you think should have gone home? Chances are, you won’t guess the right star.

Before we get to the spoiler results, check out the picture Kyle Massey Tweeted earlier tonight with Kurt Warner and Rod Stewart. Pretty cool!

Ok–back to the results! After the votes were tabulated, it was Rick Fox who was sent packing, despite the fact that the judges had told him last night that he had danced his “best dance yet.” Rick had also received his best individual score and even a 10 from guest judge Hélio Castroneves!
