America’s Got Talent held its first semi-finals results show August 24, 2011. Only five of the twelve acts which performed Monday night moved on to the top ten.

‘The World According To Paris’ Canceled After Dismal Ratings

I saw this one coming the second Paris Hilton‘s reality show, The World According to Paris, debuted to a mere 409,000 viewers.

Yes, sadly, it’s true, Paris’ new reality show has been canceled by Oxygen, New York Magazine reports.

The Next Star Of The Bachelor: Ben Flajnik!

Jennifer Love Hewitt lost yet another man! Ben Flajnik, the guy who proposed to Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette but who was rejected and left heartbroken and confused is getting a second chance at reality love!

Per US Weekly sources, the 28-year-old winemaker from Sonoma is rumored to be the next star of ABC’s The Bachelor.

ABC has not yet made any official announcements but the source tells US that ABC thinks “he’ll be ratings gold…His [August 6] date with Jennifer Love Hewitt was icing on the cake!”

Team iLuminate brought their A-game, or shall I say, iLumi-Game, and neon lights to the first semi finals episode of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday August 23, 2011.

Playing off of the old Tron and other video games, this act gave yet another winning performance on AGT.
I just don’t know who of the remaining acts can beat these guys, can you?

After Howie Mandel called them a million dollar act, Sharon Osbourne gushed: ”I just can’t believe that we have you with us – you should have been famous for like forever ago.’ Osbourne then corrected Mandel, ‘This is a hundred million dollar act. Vegas you will own in a couple of years – remember me!’
Miral Kotb started Team iLuminate when she combined her dance training and software engineering skills together, giving a whole new meaning to performance arts.

On the first semi finals episode of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday August 23, 2011, one of the front-runners and the beautiful opera singer with dreadlocks, Lys Agnes, got an unexpected rise out of judge Howie Mandel.


After Lys finished singing Bring Me To Life by EVANESCENCE, Mandel squealed, ‘There aren’t even words to describe your beauty and your looks and your sound… You’re classic beauty and I look at you …do you know what I want to do to you?’ Asked Mandel of Lys.

After Sharon Osbourne called Howie disgusting, Mandel insisted he meant nothing crude by his comments, saying: ‘I want to get her votes!’

Yes, sure Howie, sure!
Sharon Osbourne said Lys ‘took [her] breath away’, adding that ‘your beauty is overwhelming.’

Piers Morgan was finally moved by Lys and called her performance ‘a theatrical tour de force.’ 

This tour de force had stopped singing when her fiances passed away. Each show on AGT, she keeps getting better and better…Watch Lys’ performance below:
