The first contestant to make it to the next round of The X Factor from the Miami auditions which aired Thursday September 22, 2011 was 21-year old Nick Voss. Nick, a modern-day Elvis impersonator, sang the king’s Trouble.
I am not sure if Nick is as amazing as the judges thought he was, but because he came after 100’s of mediocre to bad singers, Nick was a fresh of breath air to them. Continue reading
SPOTTED: Kristin Chenoweth at The Grove in Los Angeles, September 21, 2011 for an interview with Renee Bargh of Extra.
Chenoweth also performed a couple of songs and took part in a CD signing for her newly-released country album, Some Lessons Learned. Chenoweth did not intend on recording a country album until songwriter Diane Warren told her she should. “She heard me do a track of Carrie Underwood’s for Glee called Last Name, and she said, ‘You’re a country artist.’ I said, ‘I do feel that, but I’m afraid I won’t be accepted.’ She said, ‘This is part of who you are. Go for it.'” And so, Chenoweth did!
Simon Cowell and Fox’s The X Factor attracted a relatively disappointing 12.14 million viewers for its heavily hyped two-hour debut, and a 4.2 rating among the advertiser coveted 18-to-49-year-old demographic.
In comparison, American Idol‘s debut last season drew 26.2 million viewers and a 9.7 in the said demographic.
When Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke were not immediately declared safe but put in jeopardy this week on their first performance on Dancing with the Stars, Rob’s famous sisters started crying foul! And they blamed two things: The show for being rigged and Elisabetta Canalis for being safe!
Kourtney Kardashian, 32, tweeted: “There is NO way Rob Kardashian was trending worldwide last night and in the bottom 3. Impossible!” And, “HOW IS ELISABETTA SAFE?!??! HOW?! Seriously!!!”
Khloe Kardashian, 27, who interrupted judge Bruno Tonioli during his critique of Rob, Tweeted, “Agreed. So odd.” But, if you think about it, it’s actually not that odd. It is true that Elisabetta and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy received the second lowest judges’ scores, but, Rob only fared one extra point more. And, I guess America liked Elisabetta’s performance better than Rob’s.
So she would not be out done by her sisters, Kim Kardashian also chimed in on Twitter: “Rob in the bottom three is impossible! He did soooo good!”
Rob took the high road by simply thanking his fans: “Just wanted to say thanks for all of your support last night for everyone who voted! Means so much! LOVE YOU! #LEGGGGOOOO”
After months and months of hype, The X Factor premiered Wednesday night and reunited Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell after a couple of years of TV separation.
The show also included Cheryl Cole, briefly, before she was cut by the show for unknown reasons, L.A. Reid, and Cheryl’s replacement Nicole Scherzinger.

Chris Rene, a 28-year old trash collecter and a recovering cocaine addict with a son who is trying to turn his life around performed his own original song Young Homie:
L.A. Reid said of Rene, “I’ve worked with some of the greatest hip-hop artists, like Jay-Z and Kanye West, and all of my boys would be proud of me today to tell you that you are the truth!”
Simon said, “Maybe you need the show, maybe we need you.” Paula told him, “you are a bright light,” while Nicole played off of his original song lyrics telling him, “Honey, I’m trippin’ on you.”
Siameze Floyd, the Prince impersonator copy-cat who said he wants an energy drink named after him when he reaches the level of mega-stardom that he is convinced is his destiny. Here he is, wearing a mesh see-through shirt, lift boots, and exploding with energy:

Oh and last but not least, the supposed classically-trained Geo Godly who made Paula Abdul sick by taking off his pants and singing I’m A Stud:

SPOTTED: Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes at The Grove in Los Angeles September 20, 2011. Eddie was there for an interview with Mario Lopez of Extra and LeAnn used the time to go shopping solo at Splendid, picking out clothes for her stepchildren Mason and Jake, while hubby and Mario were talking!
Eddie did an interview afterwards at The Playboy Mansion and LeAnn Tweeted: “Going to work w/ my love this morning. Gonna stand on the side lines & watch him do two interviews…..one at the Playboy Mansion!”
Eddie is busy promoting his new show, The Playboy Club, which premiered on NBC this week. The series revolves around Cibrian’s character named Nick Dalton, a lawyer who gets wrapped up in the drama that comes along with the club. He’ll next star in Tyler Perry’s film, Good Deeds.
LeAnn, on the other hand, was just announced to perform at a live acoustic concert to benefit STANDUP FOR KIDS on Thursday, October 20 at 8pm at the Riot Act Comedy Club in Washington D.C.
