On Saturday afternoon, the 2010 American Idol winner, Lee DeWyze, married model/actress Jonna Walsh.

Of the ceremony which took place in Camarillo, CA, DeWyze told People mag: “It was really our style of wedding,” adding, “Outdoors with chandeliers.” There were 100 guests in attendance. The bride wore a Lili Bridal strapless vintage-style and lace-embroidered gown. Joked Walsh, “It was mermaid shaped because I look like a ridiculous cupcake in a ball gown.”

Walsh walked down the aisle to “Who Would Have Known,” a song written for her by her talented groom. “It’s a personal song that will be on my next album,” says DeWyze.

The couple met in October of 2010 when Walsh auditioned (and got the part) to star in DeWyze’s “Sweet Serendipity” music video. “We were casting and I saw her and said, ‘Let’s go with her.’ I thought she was cute.” Guess that’s the best kind of sweet serendipity there could be.

DeWyze, who got engaged to Walsh in July after dating 8 months, spoke of their first date: “We hung out and we went to a Lakers game on our first date. She’s a Lakers fan and I’m a Chicago Bulls fan and we just clicked out of the gate.”
