Former NFL standout wide receiver, Terrell Owens, tells GQ that he is friendless and nearly broke. “I’m in hell,” Owens, 38, tells people who text him to ask him where he is.

Now out of the NFL after an injury that left him permanently sidelined in the league, he reveals that he has lost nearly $80 million of his career earnings — Gone due to a lavish lifestyle and financial shortcomings, including ventures gone bad and child support for his four children.

Owens says in the February issue of GQ that his financial advisers lured him into risky investments such as an Alabama entertainment complex that cost him $2 million and which he later found out was illegal in the state and violated NFL rules against gambling.  Continue reading

Child Please.

You did what?

You signed Terrell Owens and placed him on the same  team as Chad Ochocinco? Say what?

Let me get this straight: You now put (49’ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills) #81 on the same team that also acts as foster parents to other NFL misplaced and homeless players such as Pacman Jones, Cedric Benson and Tank Johnson? Are you kidding me? Seriously? To all this, I say, a big fat THANK YOU! Continue reading

Terrell Owens Wins My First Celeb Repellent Award

CELEB REPELLENT AWARD.

OH TERRELL OWENS! Congratulations! You have achieved what so many celebrities before you have failed to do: RESIST the pull of the Celeb Magnet. SO, you win my very first “Celeb Repellent” Award.

I unexpectedly and literally ran into T.O. last week at a function in Hollywood. Despite the controversy and gossip this man brings with him wherever he goes, I always have given him the benefit of the doubt and was genuinely excited to get to “meet” one of my football heroes.

“T.O.!” I squealed. “I am such a huge fan!” To which he responded, a big nothing. Notta. Zilch. Say what? I was confused. And impressed. No one ignores the Celeb Magnet. I was sure he didn’t see me since he towers over me and was wearing sunglasses in a dark nightclub. So, I became more obvious, and tapped him on his arm. “Can I please take a picture with you?” Again, T.O. did not flinch. Nor did he look at me; well, as far as I know, since he had on sunglasses, I couldn’t see his eyes. Oh well, I had to resort taking a picture of him, without me, and move on; with zoom lens of course from across the room, so he wouldn’t see me; lest I piss off this giant man. Next time, you’re all mine TO, next time.

WHO IS TO? Just one of the most productive and controversial people to ever to play for the NFL. As productive as he has been, Owens has created firestorms with almost every team he has played for as a professional. Owens was selected in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He then was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 after a spat with 49ers front office members. Two years later, he was released by the Eagles after he and Donovan McNabb failed to get along nicely and was picked up by my team, the Dallas Cowboys. After her allegedly created some disunity in that locker room, and dropped way too many passes on the field, he was given his unconditional release on March 4, 2009. Next up was the Buffallo Bills. I am not sure what happened there, but let’s just say, T.O. is a free agent now and on his own…
