Howard Stern Added As Judge On America’s Got Talent; Parents TV Council Slams NBC

Controversial radio host Howard Stern will take over the judge’s seat left vacant when Piers Morgan left America’s Got Talent.

Stern will join co-judges Howie Mandell and Sharon Osbourne on the hit NBC show this summer.

NBC alternative programming head Paul Telegdy explained the casting: “Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to America’s Got Talent starting this summer. He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”
Parents Television Council begs to differ. Referring to Stern as “a performer who is synonymous with shock, profanity and obscenity,” the PTC also said in a statement, “The once-proud broadcast network has lost its way and has made it clear it holds no concern whatsoever for children and families… Not coincidentally, in just over three weeks the network will be standing before the United States Supreme Court arguing for the right to use the F-word at any time of the day, even in front of children.”

NBC’s 30 Rock Will Be Star-Studded This Season

Denise Richards just landed herself a guest-starring stint on 30 Rock when the Emmy-winning comedy returns to NBC later this season. The stoked actress Tweeted:

“So excited!! I’m going to be doing an episode of #30Rock! one of my favorite shows!!!!!”

No word yet on what character she’ll be playing.

Richards is not the only celeb to join the cast this season. X-Men James Marsden and Up All Night‘s Will Arnett will both be making appearances as well.
Mums the word on what role Marsden’s character will have on the show, but last month, the hit NBC comedy put out a casting call for a man ages 36-40 who would play Tina Fey’s latest love interest. HMMMM! YUM!
As for Arnett, even though he stars in another NBC comedy and will take part in the recently announced Arrested Development TV and movie reunion, Arnett will return to 30 Rock as Jack Donaghy’s nemesis, Devon Banks.

Josh Groban Will Star On NBC’s ‘The Office’

Rumor has it that singer Josh Groban will be making an appearance at Dunder-Mifflin as Andy Bernard’s brother!

Stephen Collins (7th Heaven, No Ordinary Family) and Dee Wallace (E.T., Walk A Mile In My Pradas) have been also been cast as the brothers’ parental units on an upcoming episode of The Office‘s season 8.

The singer did not confirm or deny, but did send this Tweet Thursday:
This is pure comedic genius, and those of you who know Josh, would agree. If you are not familair with Groban’s funny side, check out his heeelarious music video, putting Kanye West’s Tweets to song.
