Simon Cowell, executive producer of The X Factor and co-owner of Syco Music, has confirmed that finalists Josh Krajcik, Chris Rene and Astro will each get a record deal with Sony Music.
Krajcik, 30, was the runner-up of the first season of The X Factor USA. Rene, 28, came in third place and Astro, 15, came in seventh place.
The X Factor USA will air its finale tonight, December 22, 2011. One of our three remaining contestants will be crowned the winner of the five million dollar recording contract and star in his, or her, very own Pepsi commercial. Continue reading

Judges’ comments: Nicole believes that Chris just served his purpose in life and gave them all a gift. Paula believes that Chris is such a gift and makes everyone fall in love with him. Simon said “That was your five million dollar song.” Simon said Chris is a man of his word and a brilliant performer. Adding to all the compliments, he called Chris a true gentleman and nice guy. The X Factor USA aired its top 5 live show December 7, 2011. Paula Abdul has no contestants left in the competition. Nicole Scherzinger has just one, Josh. L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell still have two of their contestants.
On Wednesday’s X Factor, the remaining 7 contestants had the daunting task of singing a Michael Jackson song, in front of a studio full of the King of Pop’s family including Jackson’s brothers Marlon, Tito and Jermaine and Jackson’s mother Katherine, and his children, Prince, Paris and Blanket.
That’s a lot of Jacksons in the house!
