UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF) held their 22nd annual Taste for a CURE event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in honor of Yael and Scooter Braun who received the Gil Nickel Humanitarian Award for their dedication to high priority cancer research and humanitarian efforts.Mark Paul

The night was filled with delicious wine tastings, sensational cuisine, a live auction, several celebrity appearances (from event host Angela Bassett to attendees, Jussie Smollet, Matt McGorry, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Fred Savage, Jennifer Grey, and Yara Shahidi) with immense support for an amazing, relatable cause.

Highlights of the night included surprise performances from Ariana Grande (2 performances- Dangerous Woman and Love me Harder) and Jerrod Carmichael, award presentation by James Corden who joked “They do to cancer what united does to its passengers they grab it by the scruff of the neck and say get out” he said about Scooter & Yael.

Over the past 21 years, the event has raised funds over $11 million for highest priority cancer research at UCLA, and this event approached $1 million.
