“American Idol” airs its season finale tonight May 15, 2013 featuring our Top 2 Idol finalists. We are down to Candice Glover and Kree Harrison who will each perform three songs tonight for your votes. The song themes will be Simon Fuller’s Choice, Coronation Singles, and Reprisals, billed as “Favorite Performances”.

LIVE SHOW RECAP FOR AMERICAN IDOL 12 TOP 2
MINUTE BY MINUTE RECAP:
-The girls sang their first round song and there were no comments from the judges except Randy Jackson gave round one to Candice. Candice sang Simon Fuller’s song pick “Chasing Pavements” and Kree sang sings Simon Fuller’s song pick “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan.
-Carly Rae Jepsen performs the song “Take A Picture”.
-For the second round, Kree Harrison sang her potential winner’s single “All Cried Out” and received a standing ovation from the judges. Candice Glover sang her potential winner’s single “I Am Beautiful”. Keith Urban called it a tie and said both ladies are “soul” singers and he felt that each song was perfectly suited to each singer. Nicki felt that Candice’s song was a bit better suited for her so she gave round two to Candice.
-Kree Harrison’s last song was her favorite song of the season “Up to The Mountain” and that earned her another standing ovation. Candice Glover sang her fave song “I Who Have Nothing” and she got a standing ovation as well.

I voted for Kree, but they’re both amazing talents. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised/upset if Candice wins. We’ll see come results time, but I bet it’s going to be neck and neck. Really…this whole season has been close, and that’s actually a big part of what I’ve loved about this whole season of American Idol; it’s been tense because you never knew what was going to happen. I’ve been trying to catch every episode live because between Twitter and Facebook, it’s pretty much impossible to avoid spoilers on it. Lately however, I’ve been working into the evenings at DISH, so I’m always on the train going home when Idol airs. DISH Anywhere has been kind of a lifesaver though since it gives me the ability to stream all of my live TV channels and DVR recordings to my phone. So I’ve been catching AI as it airs during my commute home.
