Kristen Stewart showed up at the 2013 Academy Awards red carpet in a pale blush, strapless Reem Acra gown, with a lacy short train, Jimmy Choo shoes and Fred Leighton jewels. But the accessory which will make the most Oscars buzz this year will be Kristen’s crutches!

The Twilight actress got out of her car hobbling while holding on to the crutches upon arrival to the awards ceremony in Hollywood. She then handed the walking aids to her assistant before stepping onto the Oscars red carpet.

Stewart’s injury so far is a mysterious one. MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz Tweeted “Just exchanged a quick hello with Kristen Stewart. I asked her what happened to her and she screamed ‘I’m an idiot!'”  We will keep you posted when we find out what happened to Kristen’s legs.

Update #1: Kristen Stewart limped on the Oscars stage in obvious pain and sported visible bruises on her arms when presenting alongside Daniel Radcliffe but she did not say how she was injured.

Update # 2: We now know why Stewart was limping and wearing crutches at the Oscars. Stewart’s make-up artist, Beau Nelson, says Kristen hurt herself after stepping on glass. The actress was even spotted wearing only one shoe at the awards ceremony. “[Stewart] cut the ball of her foot, quite severely, on glass two days ago,” Nelson told People magazine.
