SPOTTED: Richie Sambora, the legendary Bon Jovi guitarist, stopped by The Grove August 17, 2011 for an interview with Extra‘s Mario Lopez.
Richie looked healthy, happy and radiant after his recent return from the band’s record-breaking world tour. Sambora said of the latest tour, “I walked onstage every night with extreme gratitude.” Long-time fans of Bon Jovi, like myself, are also extremely grateful that Richie is back on stage where he belongs after a short absence from touring while in rehab.
Richie will play solo in a special military show Friday and plans on giving away 10 fold-able Voyage Air acoustic guitars to 10 marine heroes. “Me touring fifty countries… I get what it means to have American freedom, and these guys are fighting for our freedom, so it’s my little way to give back.”
