BIZARRE BUT TRUE!

Well, it’s comforting to know that the tuition paid by Rutgers University students is going to a good educational cause: Words of wisdom from Snooki!

The school’s Programming Association paid $32,000 in student fees collected from mandatory student activity dues to book the Jersey Shore star for a school event.

Before you start pondering the ridiculousness of this decision, wait, it gets better. The appearance fee paid to Snooki was $2,000 more than what the Association paid for Nobel-prize winning author Toni Morrison.

Unviersity rep E.J. Mirandi explains: “The student programming board gets feedback from the students about which kinds of people they would like to have come and speak at the university for entertainment purposes. The decision is made by the students.”

Are you kidding me? You’d put the decision in the hands of 18 -21 year olds YOU are supposed to be teaching? Hey, I love Snooki as much as anyone else, but there is a time and place for everyone and everything, and well, then there is the $32,000 which could have been used for so many other things.
But at least Snooki delivered a good message at the event held Thursday: “Study hard, but party harder!”
The event was called Inside the Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi Studio, a nod to Inside the Actors Studio. Snooki told the students:  “If I’m ever annoyed at the camera, I’ll spray hairspray for five years. The only real way to get away from the camera is showering, so we take really long showers.”
Other profound topics included her “poof” hairstyle and hooking up with guido juiceheads. Amazing.
